A Better Day

We are so in love with this amazing little girl!  I feel so blessed that God has chosen her for our family. I can't believe she is ours!

What a difference a day makes.  Lilyia has done much better today and has even started giving us both kisses.  She has let mommy hold her a few times without screaming-whoo-hoo.  She is just so precious and I still feel so bad for all she is going through, even though I know this is better for her in the long run.  We have had a lot less meltdowns today...the hardest times for her right now are nap time and bed time.  She still has along ways to go, but her heart is starting to soften some.  Please keep the prayers coming.

Well, we found the McDonalds in Nanning and have eaten there two days in a row for lunch-wow that tasted really good.  Lilyia LOVES french fries.  She is pretty stubborn though...she won't take food from mommy but only daddy.  I tried to feed her ice cream and she pushes my hand away but if daddy feeds her she opens her mouth right up.  Little stinker.

The Zoo was fun today...a little different than the Zoos in America but still fun nonetheless.  It was at least something to do to pass time while we wait for Lilyia's passport.

Alyson, Austin, and Parker are doing so well too.  I am so thankful we were able to bring them along.  Bringing them has been much easier than I thought it would be and I know it has been great for Lilyia too.  Right now we are forcing Austin to drink coke so keep him up for a couple more hours-that is the first time that has happened-forcing our kids to drink coke. :)

We really appreciate all of the comments people have left.  I didn't think we would be able to see people's comments since we can't get to our blog from here, but they come right to our e-mail so I have been able to read them.  Your prayers and encouraging words have been much appreciative. The first couple days were a bit difficult and emotional and your prayers and words of encouragement have truly helped.

On a side note...please pray for my grandmother and family back in Iowa.  My Grandma is in hospice care and is only expected to live a few more days-this was not expected and it's hard to not be able to be there and see her again before she passes away.  Please also pray for my dad as this is his mother.  Praise God that she did accept Christ as Saviour only a few months ago.

  3. Congratulations! I'm so happy for your family! Our daughter prefers Daddy too. It bothered me for a while, but then I got over it. Yes, it's good if they bond with someone! All of your kids are beautiful! It's so good for Lilyia to have siblings around; I'm sure that helps with the adjustment. Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I lost mine just over a year ago. I'll be praying for your whole family. Blessings, Wendy C.
